Look for a sign on the right that says "Blair-Wallis". The turn is between mileposts 31 and 32. Turn right and follow the dirt road in for a little over a mile to the venue.
From Cheyenne, take Happy Jack Road (WYO 210) west out of town for about 31 miles. Look for a sign on the left that says "Blair-Wallis". The turn is between mileposts 31 and 32. Turn left and follow the dirt road in for a little over a mile to the venue.
Goes on the front of your bike, mounted so someone can read it as you approach them. If we can't read your number, we can't get your time.
We are not the only users on the trails and it is our responsibility to be polite. Bicycles yield to all other users. Please be aware of equestrians, hikers and other bipedal beings. It’s also free-range cattle country, be aware of the occasional cow patty and/or cow on the trail. Please be courteous as you are an ambassador for our sport and one of many users of our incredible public lands.
It’s a race, but it is a long race. Be nice to each other so it isn’t awkward at the after party, and make sure you are passing, and being passed politely.
Going off course:
You have to go back to where you left the course and start again from there.
I understand, “Without music, life would be a mistake.” But you are racing today. Use your volume and be aware of other trail users, and sing along like nobody is listening.
DNF (Did Not Finish):
If you don’t finish, pull your plate # and let the timers know you are done. Please. Thank you.
On Trail Assistance:
This is a race and you are trying to finish as fast as you can. But we are also a community that needs help sometimes. Help if you can, tubes and pump, First Aid, or encouragement are appreciated. If necessary, please notify the next aid station or course marshall you encounter about any medical situations you passed.
Do not litter. If you drop a water bottle, nutrition packaging, or a beer can, go back and pick it up.
Racers must wear a cycling helmet.
Standard mountain bike racing rules and/or common sense apply.
Finish Line Cut off for starting the second lap is 1:pm
1st Aide Station cut off is 2:45pm
2nd Aide Station cut off is 4:45pm
The Weather Channel forecast for the venue. Your safety on the race course is your responsibility. If weather conditions necessitate it, we will keep riders from starting their second lap. You may be a long way from shelter when a storm rolls in. Please use your best judgement as to whether or not you should be out on the race course.
The only thing better than our Aid Stations, is the finish line party! It doesn’t matter if you are doing the One and Done, or the Laramie Range Epic, the Start/Finish line will be the place to be. Music, food, beverages and cold beer are available to help keep you hydrated while you recount challenges of the course and cheer on your friends as they roll to the finish line.
If you race or volunteer, food and drink is provided with your entry fee/volunteer time.
Bring lawn or camp chairs, there may be no other seating.
Bring your own beverage cups/mugs, plates and utensils, if possible. We will have utensils and paper plates, but we're trying to reduce waste as much as possible.
Only racers are eligible for raffle prizes.
Spectators, family-members and friends are welcome to enjoy the beverages and food for a suggested donation of $10+.
