2021 LRE Photos by Jake Marlow & Caz Norton

Hello everyone,

Thanks to all of our sponsors and all of the volunteers for supporting this race, and thank you to all of the racers and riders for showing up and sticking around for the after party. It was amazing to find out that so many of us still have a sense of humor and are willing to laugh, dance and ride bikes. I really missed that in 2020.

We had a few photographers out on course, our friend Jake Marlow took a bunch of really nice images for you to check out. You are welcome to download them and use them at your leisure, but please give photo credit to Jake. You can check out the photos at the following link: Photos by Jake Marlow

The other photographer on the course was Caz Norton. You are welcome to download these photos as well, giving full credit to Caz of course. Here is a link: Photos by Caz Norton

Thanks, and I am really looking forward to next year.

A time for being with friends.

Looking back at 2018 I remember the moment the first rider finished the One and Done. Food was starting to warm up and the mood at the start/finish line was starting to feed off of the energy of the race. by the time the the first racer for the Epic was done, there was live music from one of my favorite local artists, Sharon Martinson. We have invited her back to join us again and rumor has it she might be brining some friends.

We also have some new ideas for the night before the race. Obviously we want you all to support our sponsors, and we want you to have a good time doing it. Good people supporting good people, that is our goal. So this year we will have a selection of prizes that you can win if you go support one of our sponsors. Details will be given out as we we work them out. We can’t wait to see every one together, riding bikes, drinking beer, and being a community again. Hope to see you on July 31st, 2021. It is going to be a good time to see old friends.

In the meantime, enjoy some music, and go sign up at bikereg today.

Something to Train For!

Earlier this week we go some excellent news from Governor Mark Gordon;

“We have announced updated public health orders that will allow outdoor gatherings of up to 250 people to occur beginning on Monday, June 1. Sporting events may have up to 250 spectators in attendance, in addition to the event participants.

It’s time we had the chance to enjoy summer. The ability to gather outdoors in larger groups will be good for Wyoming citizens, businesses and our communities as we enter the season. Please use good judgement and don’t jeopardize yourself and others by acting recklessly. We want to keep moving forward.”

Our race is going to be your reason to train. See you all on July 25th, 2020.

Plan ahead

Greetings all,

Registration is open and people are starting to plan for the upcoming season. A few things you can do to get ready for this season;

1. Ride your bike. Lots!

2. Get a coach to help you out. We recommend Killer Coach for you fitness fine tuning. Professionalism and experience combined to insure you get the most out of your body!

3. Book your hotel today. There are several events going on in Laramie on the weekend of the race, and getting a room in July is difficult if you don’t plan ahead. Holiday Inn has generously offered some rooms for our racers. Check them out and book today because there are a limited number of rooms available for discount. Use the following link and get two free beers at the bar and a discount on your room: Holiday Inn Who doesn’t love beer?

4. Drink some beer to help prepare yourself for the after party. It is going to be wild this year!

Hope you see you on July 25, 2020.

Riding Dirt in Wyoming

The birds are starting to paint the landscape with their intertwined wings as the wind guides their kaleidoscopic dance of spring mating. I wonder if the birds hear our couch springs flexing as we get up for the first time in months and head out into the garage. Garages and shops are clinking and clanking as we dust off the tools that keep our bicycles running. They hear the garage door open, and see us washing our bikes and lubing our chains and they wax poetic about how spring is here, “the mountain bikers are starting to shake off the cabin fever, spring must be here.” Get ready people. Training starts today.
